Job Title: Digital Media Officer – Men’s Academy

Location: Cobham Training Ground

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Shape the Story of Our Academy

We're looking for a creative and proactive Academy Digital Media Officer to lead the Academy's digital content and communications activity. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase the journeys of our young players and staff through engaging social, video, and written content, while helping to strengthen connections with players, parents, and key stakeholders. Working at the heart of the Academy, you'll bring our stories to life and help grow our digital audience across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and publish engaging content across Academy digital channels, including social media, website articles, match reports, photography, and video
  • Lead content planning and delivery to drive audience growth, engagement, and reach
  • Support live matchday coverage with updates, clips, and reactive content
  • Manage and grow the Academy's social media presence, with a particular focus on Instagram
  • Capture photography and content at training sessions, fixtures, events, and Academy activities
  • Monitor content performance and use insights to optimise future campaigns
  • Deliver clear and effective communications for parents, players, and stakeholders
  • Produce internal communications including newsletters, announcements, and presentations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Academy and wider Club on content and communications projects

What We're Looking For

  • Experience creating engaging digital content that delivers strong audience engagement and growth
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and delivering content campaigns
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practice, particularly Instagram
  • Photography, mobile content creation, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to analyse performance data and use insights to improve content effectiveness
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with players, parents, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of football and player development environments is desirable
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, and social media management tools is advantageous
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with Academy fixtures and events

  • To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
