Media Planner – £35,000–£40,000 per annum

About us

Hunterlodge is a UK-based full-service agency specialising in integrated, insight-driven campaigns for organisations across higher education, the public sector and commercial brands. We thrive on creativity, collaboration and growth, delivering meaningful connections between audiences and our clients.

Our team culture values continuous learning, innovation and professional development. We aim to stay ahead of evolving media trends, ensuring our clients achieve outstanding results.

We’re now looking for a Media Planner to support our expansion. Whether you’re a paid media specialist keen to explore beyond campaign execution, or a digital marketer seeking to broaden your strategic horizons, this role offers the opportunity to grow within integrated planning across both digital and traditional channels.

Many of our clients operate in higher education—experience working with universities, student recruitment campaigns or youth-targeted audiences will be a big advantage.

The opportunity

This isn’t a traditional media planning role requiring years of experience. Instead, we want someone who understands how modern digital advertising platforms work and wants to develop that expertise into wider media strategies.

If you’re currently working as a:

  • Paid Media/Digital Executive
  • Paid Social Executive
  • PPC Executive …and are looking to move beyond activation into strategic media planning, this role could be perfect for you.

You’ll leverage your knowledge of Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and beyond to design integrated media strategies, gaining hands-on experience in out-of-home, audio, video and broadcast media. Your aim? To shape channel mix, budgets and campaign content with a focus on audience impact—all while developing as a multi-channel specialist.

Key responsibilities

Media planning & strategy

  • Develop integrated media plans aligned with client briefs and campaign objectives
  • Recommend the optimal channel mix, balancing paid social, paid search, display, video, audio, out-of-home and broadcast media based on campaign goals
  • Use audience insights, market research, performance data and industry trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Allocate budgets across channels to maximise efficiency and effectiveness
  • Craft audience-first strategies that target brand awareness, consideration and conversion

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
