About the Role
The Digital Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of The Children’s Trust’s digital communications. Collaborating closely with the Digital Manager and the wider Marketing and Communications team, the roleholder will ensure our website, email marketing, and digital activities are engaging, accessible, user-focused, aligned with organisational priorities, and brand guidelines.
key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the digit administration of websites while maintaining high-quality, updated content and a strong user experience.
- Supporting marketing communications through digital channels, including email and paid platforms.
- Utilising analytics and insights to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and facilitate data-driven decision-making for campaigns and user journeys.
This role seeks a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with expertise in digital best practices, strong collaboration skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and drive innovation in digital communications.
Role Requirements
Website Management
- Support the daily operations of The Children’s Trust’s websites, ensuring seamless updates, optimised content, layout, and structure while promoting continuous improvement.
- Assisting the Digital Manager to coordinate information across the organisation, ensuring:
- Website content remains fresh, accurate, and aligned with key messages.
- Tones/Style consistency applied.
- Collaborate with the Digital Manager to guarantee websites remain secure, accessible, user-friendly, and ** aligned to the organisation’s brand, communication objectives**, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce WCAG 2.1 compliant (Level AA) content to foster web accessibility throughout the organisation.
- Design and maintain online forms such as donation portals, event registrations, and data collection tools.

Campaigns and Email Marketing
- Assist the Digital Manager and Senior Marketing Manager in executing paid digital steps for smaller campaigns, covering platforms like social paid ads, Google ads/search, and promoted posts.
- Participate in the planning of marketing campaigns and assist with their implementation.
- Contribute to brand-compliant email communication creating and review across the organisation.
- Utilise DotDigital to orchestrate, refine, and manage email campaigns related to brand consistency and best-practice.
- Employ A/B testing, segmentation, and analytics to improve campaign performance.
- Support email and paid campaign targeting, segmentation, and re-target strategies.
- Collaborate with the Digital Manager in managing the organisation’s Google Grant account and campaigns furnishfully Beside keeping our email and paid digital strategies updated, this also includes ensuring consistent, engaging, and data-driven outreach.
