We are looking for a Digital Optimisation Manager to lead the continuous improvement of Musto.com. You will combine strong commercial awareness with UX best practice to ensure every improvement reflects the Musto brand, enhances the customer journey and supports the continued growth of our ecommerce business.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work closely with our development team and project management teams to manage and prioritise all development tasks with the aim of improving the end-to-end customer experience.
- Own and prioritise the digital development backlog, ensuring development resource is focused on the highest-value customer and commercial opportunities.
- Act as Product Owner for the website, balancing BAU activity, bug fixes, technical improvements and optimisation initiatives.
- Facilitate the vision of digital projects through research, customer insight, wireframing, prototyping and testing.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mock-ups where appropriate to communicate ideas and solutions.
- Take a customer-centred approach to optimisation, continuously testing, learning and iterating improvements.
- Identify customer experience challenges and develop commercially focused solutions.
- Assist the wider Ecommerce team on project implementations to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Make strategic recommendations relating to website functionality, customer journeys and new digital capabilities.
- Be responsible for delivering improvements in Conversion Rate, Average Order Value, Site Speed and other agreed digital KPIs.
- Own the A/B testing programme, identifying opportunities, prioritising experiments, implementing tests and reporting on outcomes.
- Build and launch simple experiments using available testing tools wherever possible, reducing reliance on development resource.
- Identify opportunities to deliver personalised customer journeys both on-site and across the wider digital ecosystem.
- Use analytics, heatmaps, session replay and usability tools to identify pain points and translate insights into development priorities.
- Optimise and enrich website content to improve customer engagement, conversion and commercial performance.
- Troubleshoot website issues and work with the development team to resolve them efficiently.
- Monitor key digital KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Deliver reports, results and actionable insight during regular team meetings.
- Champion UX, CRO and optimisation best practice while ensuring all developments remain consistent with the Musto brand guidelines.
- Work collaboratively across Ecommerce, Brand, Marketing, Trading, Customer Service, IT and external partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Keep up to date with emerging ecommerce technologies, optimisation techniques and industry best practice, recommending new ideas where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
