Digital Optimisation Manager – Audi

Overview
Volkswagen Group UK is seeking an experienced Digital Optimisation Manager to support the Audi brand on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Digital Transformation Manager or Digital Manager, you will be responsible for improving the performance of Audi’s website and digital tools. You will use digital analytics, customer insight, and experimentation to enhance the online customer journey, increase conversion rates, and generate greater commercial value.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a structured programme of digital optimisation activity, working with internal stakeholders, agency partners, and international colleagues. You will turn complex data into practical recommendations, manage the end-to-end testing process, and help shape a continuously improving digital experience.
Responsibilities
- Own digital conversion metrics across the platform, including form completion, lead generation, and wider website performance KPIs.
- Monitor performance against agreed targets and identify opportunities to improve conversion and customer engagement.
- Conduct detailed analysis of products, promotions, landing pages, and user journeys.
- Use website analytics, customer research, usability studies, and digital trends to recommend improvements.
- Translate data and insight into clear, practical actions that improve customer experience and commercial performance.
- Work closely with Digital Managers, marketing teams, and wider business stakeholders to review performance and agree on improvement activity.
- Track and interpret user behaviour using platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Contentsquare.
- Own the end-to-end testing process, including scoping, technical requirements, tagging, A/B test execution, performance analysis, and recommendations.
- Build and manage a prioritised testing and insights roadmap.
- Lead agency specialists responsible for digital testing, analytics, and optimisation activity.
- Communicate digital performance, testing plans, and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Work in partnership with Audi’s international teams and other key markets to share best practice.
- Provide guidance and coaching on digital optimisation and conversion rate improvement.
- Support the introduction of new sales channels, digital transformation initiatives, and revised ways of working.
- Ensure all digital activity complies with relevant legal, audit, governance, and brand requirements.

Requirements
- Experience in digital optimisation, web analytics, digital insights, customer experience, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to use digital analytics and customer insight to shape digital strategy and improve website performance.
- Advanced experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
- Experience with testing and behavioural insight tools such as Adobe Target or Contentsquare is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret research, website data, and business performance.
- Experience identifying practical optimisation opportunities from complex data sets.
- Knowledge of A/B testing, experimentation, and conversion rate optimisation principles.
- Strong attention to detail when managing high volumes of data, content, and change.
- Confidence working with agencies, technical specialists, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and a results-focused approach.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and programmes simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence presenting recommendations and gaining stakeholder approval.
- Interest in emerging digital technologies and their application to customer experience.
- GCSE English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in automotive, retail, e-commerce, financial services, technology, or another digitally led industry would be advantageous.
