About the role

As a Digital PR Manager, you will have an important role in providing support to the Digital PR team. You will be required to immerse yourself in the Online/Digital media world, learning quickly and honing your skills and knowledge of the industry.

Your role will be crucial in assisting the Digital PR team, providing support in Digital PR strategy for a blue-chip client in the food sector, and in managing client relationships and campaign execution across the UK and US markets.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the Head of Digital PR and wider account team to deliver Digital PR campaigns;
  • Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with key publishers (journalists, bloggers and PRs), entailing identification of key publications through social media/link analysis, use of journalist databases, real engagement with online communities and attending industry events, and relationship building through exclusive content & opportunities, events & seminars.
  • Conducting relevant research into strong story/PR/content ideas.
  • Maintain and develop press, blog and media contact database, as well as creating relevant contact lists for client campaigns.
  • Measuring and reporting of link building efforts.
  • Taking the lead on Digital PR strategy for the US & UK markets including campaign-level ideation, collaborating with influencers and experts as required to strengthen campaigns, briefing of internal teams to create assets, crafting press releases and pitches, and carrying out media relations work in line with account KPIs.
  • Monitoring the news cycle for reactive opportunities for link placement.
  • Working closely with Head of Digital PR and wider account team to build compelling strategies that consistently achieve against KPIs, while following best practice guidelines for Digital PR.
  • Client management including creating presentations for key client meetings, communicating with client to a high standard on email and on video calls on a regular basis and pro-actively escalating any issues to Head of Digital PR and wider account team.
  • Ad hoc related tasks as required.

  • Good working knowledge of SEO and/or AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation), with a solid understanding of offsite strategies and link building.
  • Comfortable building, leading and executing Digital PR strategies from the ground up.
  • Confident and comfortable in client-facing situations, with experience presenting to and communicating with blue-chip clients.
  • B2B food market experience preferred.
  • Experience working across UK and US markets, with an understanding of media landscapes and relevant journalist/publisher contacts in both.
