Data Analyst (Digital Pricing) – VRB-RJ0130744
About the Role
As a key member of Western Union’s Digital Pricing team, this role focuses on leveraging business and market data to drive pricing performance and inform strategic decisions across the digital business.
The role combines advanced analytics with commercial thinking, acting as both a data expert and thought partner to business leaders. You will help translate complex data insights into impactful pricing initiatives in a highly visible, global fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced customer analytics using SQL/Snowflake, delivering customer segmentation based on lifecycle and behavioural attributes
- Drive adoption of LTV-based decision-making, balancing pricing efforts across customer acquisition and retention
- Design and implement innovative pricing methodologies, including dynamic pricing models and machine learning approaches
- Manage end-to-end model development in collaboration with Data Engineering, Pricing Ops, and Business Analytics teams
- Produce pricing recommendations that optimise business value across volume, revenue, and margin
- Identify growth opportunities and risks driven by market and competitive dynamics

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–4 years’ experience in data analytics, pricing, or a related field
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics)
- Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and statistical modelling
- Hands-on experience with dynamic pricing, A/B testing, and data-driven experimentation
- Strong understanding of customer analytics and segmentation methodologies
- Experience or interest in fintech, digital products, or pricing strategy is a plus
Soft Skills
- High level of analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex insights into business recommendations
- Personal qualities: ownership, resilience, curiosity, and a proactive mindset
Work Shift
Hybrid – We value in-person collaboration, problem-solving, and ideation. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days per week.
