Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Digital Print Artworker/Production Operative role based in Crewe. The role involves:

  • Preparing artwork files for print
  • Ensuring correct layout, color profiles, and resolution
  • Checking artwork against specifications before production

The Digital Print Artworker/Production Operative will:

  • Operate digital print and finishing equipment
  • Monitor print quality
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating incoming jobs
  • Organizing materials
  • Maintaining production schedules
  • Ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time

The role also requires close collaboration with colleagues and, when needed, communication with customers to clarify requirements and resolve any artwork or production issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Artwork and Artworking, including preparing and adapting digital files for print.
  • Experience with Graphics and Photo Retouching to ensure images and layouts meet quality and brand standards.
  • Practical knowledge of Print Production processes, digital print workflows, and basic finishing techniques but full training will be provided.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and artwork software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign and Photoshop).
  • Excellent attention to detail, color accuracy, and ability to follow technical specifications.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines in a production environment.
  • Comfortable working on-site with print machinery, including adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Previous experience in a print, signage, or graphics production environment is beneficial.
