Digital Print Operative (Biggin Hill)
Prepress Operator – Print Production Support
Role Overview
The role owner will be responsible for accurately producing print work in line with job specifications.
Primary Objectives
- Collect and process work from the repro/print department
- Ensure work is sized correctly and the appropriate correction curve is applied
- Conduct quality check (QC) to job requirements
- Maintain and process work according to the production schedule
- Notify the supervisor/manager immediately when a major issue is encountered
- Problem-solve minor issues to ensure smooth workflow through the department
- Maintain machinery following the manufacturer’s recommendations
- Keep the work area and machinery clean and tidy
- Select the correct media profile, then rip the job to be printed (training provided if needed)

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Thorough knowledge of print production practices and processes
- Experience with HP Flatbeds, Agfa, or Durst machines (preferable but not essential)
- Understanding of Windows operating systems
- Operational experience within a print environment
- Demonstratable attention to detail
- Reliable, trustworthy, and conscientious work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as a flexible team member
