Line of Service Advisory Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Technology Strategy Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary About the role: Are you ready to play a key role in delivering digital procurement transformations powered by technology and AI? Do you have a strong technical background and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, technology- and AI-enabled solutions? Join PwC’s Digital Procurement team and help deliver innovative, tech-enabled procurement transformations across global organisations. You will work at the intersection of procurement, technology and AI, supporting clients to modernise their Source-to-Pay landscape, with a particular focus on P2P optimisation, digital enablement and AI-driven innovation and automation. As a Manager, you will take a hands-on leadership role in the design and delivery of technology implementations, acting as a solution architect and technical delivery lead across one or more engagements. You will be responsible for translating functional requirements into system solutions, overseeing build and configuration, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the implementation lifecycle. You will work closely with Senior Managers and Directors to deliver large-scale transformation programmes, while owning day-to-day delivery, managing technical workstreams and guiding junior team members. You will also play an active role in business development, identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and contributing to proposal development and collaborate with PwC’s alliance partners and broader Consulting teams, including Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Risk and AI specialists, to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions. This role can be based in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Belfast. What your days will look like: Lead the design and delivery of large-scale, end-to-end S2P technology transformation programmes, acting as a solution architect, translating business requirements into scalable system designs, workflows and configurations Oversee the design, configuration and implementation of leading procurement and contracting platforms, including system integrations with ERP and adjacent platforms, working with technical teams to ensure seamless data and process flows Identify and drive opportunities for automation, digitisation and AI enablement, embedding innovation into core procurement processes and unlocking continuous improvement Lead multi-disciplinary teams across PwC and client organisations, fostering collaboration across technology, functional and AI specialists to deliver integrated transformation outcomes Support clients in defining their AI strategy for procurement, including opportunity identification, business case development, and deployment roadmaps Design and implement AI-enabled workflows and agents, integrating with procurement platforms and enterprise systems Manage day-to-day delivery of workstreams or projects, ensuring progress, quality and alignment with client expectations This role is for you if: Strong technical background (e.g. computer science, engineering, data science, or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience Experience in identifying and implementing AI / GenAI use cases within procurement or adjacent domains, with a strong understanding of AI workflows, agents, and automation tools (e.g. LLM-based solutions, orchestration tools, and intelligent automation) Experience in system configuration, solution design and workflow automation within procurement or enterprise platforms, including an understanding of system integrations, APIs and data flows across enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, Finance systems) Experience working with leading procurement and orchestration platforms (e.g. Coupa, SAP Ariba, Agiloft, Icertis, Zip, Oro etc.) Strong experience across the end-to-end S2P lifecycle, with deep expertise in P2P processes and optimisation highly preferable Proven track record delivering and managing teams across technology-enabled procurement transformations (design through to implementation) Experience with data analysis, scripting or programming (e.g. R, SQL, Python or similar) is highly desirable, as well as experience with data visualization platforms including Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools Willingness to travel based on client needs What you’ll receive from us No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
