About the Role

As a Digital Product Owner, the role holder will provide vision and direction of product delivery, creating innovative solutions that meet the needs of the customer and wider Business stakeholders whilst delivering the Bank Digital strategy. They will translate user needs from various sources (i.e., marketing & data analysis, stakeholder requirements, and strategic priorities) into a vision for the product scrum team. Create and refine a prioritised backlog and release roadmap that represents that vision and create, evolve, and deliver new, innovative, and engaging propositions that drive customer engagement, self-service behaviour, and customer advocacy. The role holder will be the main customer advocate within scrum team delivery, driving the Customer Experience of digital propositions working with the UX team and driving business change to maximise the delivery of business benefits and outcomes. The role holder provides input to the strategic digital roadmap central to the organisation's strategy, resulting in a competitive digital proposition and delivering business benefits. You will also act as the interface between the scrum team(s) and the business by representing the teams at relevant forums and meetings.

Location: We operate on a team-led hybrid approach at least once a month in the Manchester office.

Please note this role is a 12 Month FTC.

About You

For this role you’ll need to have:

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles and the ability to positively promote the benefits of working this way to stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and the wider digital team
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Proven evidence of identifying, creating, and delivering successful engaging digital propositions that drive customer advocacy and self-service customer behaviours
  • Confident in technological advancements across multiple devices
  • Creative thinker with a vision – ability to create and shape innovative ideas into engaging customer propositions
  • Strong understanding of change value drivers across customer, commercial, regulatory, and risk dimensions
