About The Role
Exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Owner to join our Digital Product team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a strong problem solver who enjoys stepping into the customer’s shoes and collaborating with product development to deliver impactful solutions that maximise the value of products for Halfords Group.
With AI becoming an increasingly important part of our digital strategy, we’re especially keen to bring in someone with knowledge and curiosity in this space. You’ll shape the product roadmap, define priorities and ensure clear, measurable outcomes. The role spans a wide range of products offering plenty of variety, no two days will feel the same.

Partner with internal and external customers to understand business needs, requirements, risks, impacts and benefits. Build your expertise in AI as we explore integrating AI into the Halfords website and improving visibility in Google search to enhance customer journeys. Own and maintain a product roadmap aligned to strategic goals, prioritising epics, features and user stories for the scrum team. Turn product vision into compelling narratives, clear specifications and defined outcomes that guide and motivate development teams. Lead sprint planning by clarifying requirements, breaking down work and resolving product‑related questions to support smooth delivery. Use data insights and trade‑off analysis to make informed decisions, shape OKRs and drive business results. Track and report on benefits realisation, ensuring value is consistently delivered. Work closely with stakeholders throughout visioning, concept development, and backlog prioritisation to maximise customer value and ensure seamless end‑to‑end experiences. Act as the product ambassador, managing communications, addressing queries and engaging with Product Council stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency.
About You
A results‑driven individual who takes pride in delivering high‑quality work on time. A confident communicator with strong stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Experienced in Agile Scrum, including writing user stories and defining acceptance criteria. Skilled in using analysis tools such as wireframes and business process modelling to support solution design. Comfortable with technical terminology, software development practices, and web/mobile technologies experience in technical or e‑commerce environments is a plus. Strong facilitation and communication skills, able to bridge business and technical teams and lead effective workshops. Proficient with tools like Jira, Trello, and Confluence and experienced collaborating within Scrum teams. Proactive, decisive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of AI and how it can enhance customer journeys is highly desirable.
