Digital Product Owner – Lloyd's Market Insurance
A leading Lloyd's market insurer is looking to appoint an experienced Digital Product Owner to play a pivotal role in the delivery of its digital transformation strategy.
Working as the right-hand person to the Programme Lead, you'll take ownership of key digital products and initiatives, acting as the bridge between the business, technology teams and third-party delivery partners. This is a highly visible role with regular interaction across underwriting, operations, technology and executive stakeholders, making it ideal for someone who enjoys influencing strategy as well as driving successful delivery.
You'll help shape and deliver innovative digital capabilities that improve the broker and customer experience, streamline submission and ingestion processes, and support the organisation's wider transformation agenda.
The Role
As Digital Product Owner, you'll be responsible for defining product priorities, managing delivery roadmaps and ensuring digital solutions provide measurable business value. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into actionable product backlogs and collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
You'll also play a key role in managing delivery partners, ensuring internal and offshore teams remain aligned with business objectives and product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product roadmap for strategic digital initiatives.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define product vision, priorities and success measures.
- Gather, refine and prioritise business requirements into well-defined user stories.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, technology teams and third-party vendors.
- Work closely with offshore development teams and delivery partners to ensure successful execution.
- Drive Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning and product reviews.
- Ensure digital products support underwriting, operations and broker-facing processes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across multiple business functions, presenting confidently to senior leadership.
- Support the delivery of digital transformation initiatives focused on improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Work alongside Programme Leadership to ensure projects remain aligned with strategic objectives.
- Manage product risks, dependencies and delivery timelines.
- Monitor product performance and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
