Location: National Oceanography Centre, Southampton or Liverpool Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) Salary: £43,703 – £47,941 per annum

About the Role
The NOC is seeking a Digital Product Owner to lead a transformative project at the intersection of artificial intelligence, ocean science, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- **product leadership in delivering software and AI tools enabling researchers worldwide to process massive environmental datasets at unprecedented scales, without extensive computational resources
- drive vision through collaboration between scientific teams, engineers, and product designers using design thinking and agile methodologies
- prioritise backlogs and align stakeholders to deliver scalable, user-centric solutions that democratise access to critical ocean data
- bridge technical and user needs, ensuring solutions are both highly functional and easy to adopt
- implement measurable outcomes, improving accessibility, analytics, and sustainability outcomes for global marine research

Location & Hybrid Working
- Based in Southampton or Liverpool—both sites offer excellent transport links, EV charging, and cycling facilities
- Two days remote working per week (workforce flexibility remained post-pandemic measures)
