Digital Product Owner – Wholesale Portal

About the Role
This Product Owner role sits within BT Wholesale’s Digital Experience team, driving the creation of a new strategic customer portal for wholesale clients.
You’ll shape and deliver end-to-end digital journeys, enabling wholesale customers to order and manage BT’s strategic products—join at the design phase, own the development journey from build to launch, and drive continuous improvement.
This greenfield opportunity is pivotal in modernising BT’s customer experience and fostering digital-first B2B interactions.
Responsibilities
Core Accountabilities
- Own a defined area of the wholesale digital portal, setting and communicating clear product vision and priorities
- Translate customer and business requirements into deliverable product features
- Lead an Agile squad, prioritising the backlog and aligning design, engineering, and analysis teams for delivery
- Define and deliver end-to-end digital journeys, from customer access to transaction completion
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and stakeholders to create intuitive, efficient customer experiences
- Influence and align stakeholders across BT’s complex, matrix organisation
- Challenge teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and innovation
- Embed a "digital-first" and AI-driven approach to product development
- Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with broader BT strategy

Requirements
Essential
- Proven Product Owner experience in an Agile environment, with backlog ownership and prioritisation
- Experience delivering end-to-end digital customer journeys, preferably on transactional platforms
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across complex hierarchical structures
Desirable
- Experience with B2B digital products or platforms
- Background in large enterprise environments with multiple governance layers
- Previous work in telecommunications, wholesale, or reseller models
- Knowledge of modern web technologies (e.g., React, frontend frameworks)
- Familiarity with AI-driven product development approaches
