A leading insurance consultancy is seeking an experienced Digital Transformation Programme Manager to support a major AI and automation-led transformation programme within the insurance sector.
This is a high-profile opportunity for a programme delivery professional who understands the insurance industry and has experience delivering modern technology transformation initiatives, particularly across AI, automation, digital platforms, and operational change.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping insurance organisations modernise legacy processes, implement innovative AI-enabled solutions, and deliver measurable improvements across underwriting, claims, and business operations.
The Opportunity
As Digital Transformation Programme Manager, you will sit at the centre of complex transformation initiatives, working across business, technology, and delivery teams to successfully implement AI and automation capabilities.
You will help bridge the gap between strategic vision and execution, ensuring emerging technologies are adopted effectively while managing the organisational change required to embed new ways of working.
This role requires someone who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, understand complex insurance processes, and lead programmes that combine technology delivery with business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of AI and automation-driven transformation programmes within insurance organisations.
- Manage end-to-end digital transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and enhanced customer outcomes.
- Support the implementation of AI-enabled solutions across insurance operations, underwriting, claims, and other business functions.
- Manage programme governance, reporting, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams across business teams, technology functions, and third-party vendors.
- Act as the link between senior stakeholders, technical teams, and operational users.
- Support the replacement, integration, or modernisation of legacy insurance platforms and processes.
- Drive adoption of new technologies through effective change management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable business value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
