Senior Project Information Manager / BIM Project Manager – Energy Transmission & Distribution

We’re looking for experienced Information Management experts with advanced skills to:
- Lead ISO 19650 information management frameworks
- Shape BIM/CAD delivery processes
- Advise on programme-level data and interface management
- Drive digital transformation for major infrastructure projects
This role offers the opportunity to grow, lead, and leave a legacy in a dynamic, collaborative environment where technology meets real-world impact.
Responsibilities
Your work will span three tracks, depending on placement:
1. Information Management Track
- Develop and enforce ISO 19650 documentation (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP)
- Oversee Common Data Environment (CDE) systems (Autodesk ACC, SharePoint)
- Align information exchange processes across projects
- Define BIM Execution Plans and Master Information Delivery Plans
- Assess delivery team capacity for information delivery
- Manage COBie, IFC standards, and data exchange protocols

2. BIM Delivery Track
- Implement BIM (3D/4D/5D integration) and digital tools for Modern Methods of Construction (MMC)
- Support adoption of digitized workflows, including VR/AR, immersive visualisation, and drones
- Lead software customisation (CAD-GIS integration)
- Provide technical support for BIM tools and digital twin development
3. Leadership & Growth
- Establish training programmes and digital delivery standards
- Identify innovation opportunities and collaborate on R&D
- Drive business development for major infrastructure bids
- Grow alongside your colleagues in a forward-thinking culture
Requirements
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, or design-related disciplines
- Proven experience in information management on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Certified ISO 19650 knowledge (documentation, CDE management)
- Proficiency in IFC, COBie, and infrastructure asset lifecycle standards
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and interface with senior clients
- Digital delivery frameworks experience (FIDIC, NEC)
- Background in Advanced BIM methodologies and emerging technologies
- Confidence in driving change and digital transformation
Desirable
- Professional chartered status (RICS, ICE, BCS, CIOB)
- ISO 19650 Lead Implementer certification
- Project/commercial awareness (budget management, resource allocation)
- Project management certifications (APM, PMI)
- Energy sector specialisation (transmission/distribution, nuclear)
- Enterprise IM/CDE experience in critical infrastructure
- Business development or proposal-writing capability
- Thought leadership in digital infrastructure (conference speaking, publications)
