Regular target setting and progress monitoring will underpin all activities, ensuring that every student is supported to achieve successful outcomes.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

The following outlines the key duties expected of this role as directed by the Executive Director or relevant Director. It is not an exhaustive list but represents the primary responsibilities:

Plan and prepare lessons and schemes of work, assess student progress, provide feedback, maintain accurate records, and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment that meets safeguarding, equality, and health & safety requirements.
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of courses, including managing communication, student attendance and punctuality, lesson cover, internal verification scheduling, enrichment activities, and liaison with departments such as Exams, MIS, and ALS to ensure smooth and consistent operations across campuses.
  • Assist with the recruitment, selection, and enrolment of students, ensuring correct course placement, managing transfers and late enrolments, and contributing to the organisation and delivery of induction programmes.
  • Provide 1-1 support to individual students as required, provide UCAS and pastoral support, and liaise with support services where needed.
  • Monitor and report on attendance, progress, and achievement. Ensure timely completion of registers, track student performance, and implement action plans where necessary.

  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings, parents' evenings, marketing events, and internal/external meetings as required. Support the planning and coordination of key events.
  • Work with colleagues to develop curriculum content and teaching strategies. Engage in CPD and peer observations and mentor new lecturers where appropriate.
  • Complete course-related admin, including register keeping, updating ProMonitor, utilising reports, and maintaining resources on the College’s VLE.
  • Take part in quality assurance processes including moderation, verification, course reviews, and the Self-Assessment Review (SAR), supporting continuous improvement.
  • Lead on internal verification and standardisation.
  • Monitor and act on SAR and quality improvement actions.
  • Assist with daily staffing coordination and resource planning.
  • Ensure timely completion of any UCAS references, and liaise with HE institutions as required.
  • Engage with parents of any students under 18 as required, including attending parent evenings, contributing to reports, and attendance reporting as appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
