About the role

Ecclesiastical Planning Services, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Digital Strategy Manager to join our Gloucester office.

As a Digital Strategy Manager you will define a clear, evidence-based digital strategy for our Funeral Director proposition, focused on assessing the value, role and future evolution of key digital technologies (including a consumer facing Buy Online journey and the Funeral Director Portal). The role will provide clear recommendations on “what next” to ensure digital capabilities remain competitive, effective and aligned to EPSL’s business model, partner needs and customer behaviour.

Why join us?

Join a collaborative and inclusive culture that’s committed to making a difference and building a more sustainable future. Ranked amongst the UK's 15 Best Big Companies to Work For in 2025, we offer fantastic career and development opportunities within a rapidly growing, innovative Group - where all profits go to charity and good causes.

What you'll be doing

  • Define and deliver a digital strategy aligned to business objectives, customer needs, market trends, and performance insights.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness, adoption, and future direction of key digital platforms, including Buy Online (BOL) and the Funeral Director Portal.
  • Recommend opportunities to enhance, simplify, or optimise digital products, identifying risks, inefficiencies, duplication, and cost-to-serve improvements.
  • Benchmark competitor digital propositions and partner tools to identify opportunities for competitive advantage and differentiation.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritised digital roadmap, sequencing initiatives based on strategic value, business impact, and feasibility.
  • Build evidence-based business cases, quantifying revenue growth, efficiency gains, cost reduction, and return on investment.
  • Define ownership and accountability models across technology, proposition, marketing, and digital capabilities, addressing governance gaps where required.
  • Establish effective governance and prioritisation frameworks to support ongoing digital performance and decision-making.
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and investment choices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
