Job Description
Digital Studio Operator – Creative and AI Studio
Digital Studio Operators at ASOS are highly organised, efficient, team centric figures, who have an eye for fashion, photography, styling and seamless operations. As one of our Operators, you will be an active member of the wider Creative & AI Studio Team. You will contribute to department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively to deliver the best images to deliver AI assets. You have the ability to successfully be a part of a team with a creative and operational mindset.
Key Overarching Responsibilities:
- Team player: Actively contribute to the Photography team and wider Studios Department
- Delivery at scale: Deliver consistently across a high volume of outputs to ensure each asset is fit for purpose and meets all the required inputs for successful digital and AI generation
- Performance and Efficiency: Ensure your KPIs/SLAs are consistently delivered
- Quality Assurance: Ensure your capturing of product is consistently best in class, whilst upholding any product/shoot style guidelines
- Evolution & Innovation: Actively take part in evolving the studio delivery processes where required to ensure we are industry leaders and delivering company & business objectives
- Future facing: Actively take part in any new Ai workflow and automation processes when required
- Inspiration and Mentorship: Be recognised as an aspirational, innovative figure within your team and the wider department with a strong problem-solving mindset and reputation
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively across the team and wider department, whilst championing all aspects of ASOS Creative and Ai Studio in every interaction

What you’ll be doing…
Reporting directly into Senior Photographer, you will be contributing to the day-to-day output of the photography team. This will primarily include image capture across the 200,000+ products on the product listing and product display pages for our digital image library. The digital library will feed a range of delivery outputs across our site and channels to give our customers a best-in-class shopping experience.
- Responsible for capturing and styling high-quality imagery across a diverse product range using multi-camera studio setups to capture apparel and non-model accessories in multiple different ways, including hanging, mannequin, fit model and tabletop formats, as part of an integrated studio workflow
- Responsible for on-set product prep including styling and dressing of mannequins, placing products appropriately on hangers and on table top sets to ensure accurate capturing of the product in preparation for AI generation.
- Responsible for accurate product naming/coding to ensure a smooth workflow
- Fully support in the management of all relevant studio kit and equipment
- Ability to confidently work to established processes across bespoke and off-the-shelf platforms and systems
- Proficient in time management, with the ability to proactively ask for assistance when required to ensure team KPIs and SLAs are met
- Show strong multitasking ability and organisational skills; able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment, consistently prioritising your workload
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail and catching errors, expectation to check your own work
- Ability to follow established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy
- Actively take part in regular 1-2-1’s with your line manager, driving your own delivery and progression under management guidance
- Possess ability to drive and achieve personal and department objectives and OKRs
- Show excellent problem-solving abilities and positive, dynamic response to change
- Contribute to team admin duties
- Ability to support new starters and freelancers with guidance when required
- Develop and implement your communication style in line with the ASOS Behaviours policy
- Contribute to team and departmental meetings when required
- Contribute to departmental technology software and hardware launches when required
- Possess the ability to cover Midweight duties during absence or when required
- Delivering projects to support the department strategy and any other ad hoc tasks defined by the Senior Photography Manager and the Photography & Video Lead

Qualifications
- Computer literate, experience working with Mac and PC beneficial
- Previous studio assistant/studio environment experience beneficial
- Basic understanding of still life product photography
- Basic understanding of studio lighting and Capture One beneficial
- Basic understanding of Photogrammetry
- Basic understanding of different clothing products fits and how to dress mannequins appropriately
- Basic understanding of AI image generation
- Great attention to detail with a natural flare for photography
- Ability to adapt and execute different shooting methods and shoot types
- Strong organisation, prioritising and communication skills
