About the job
On behalf of our client in the specialist sustainability and technology consultancy sector, we are seeking an experienced technology-enabled consulting professional who can confidently lead client projects, design digital solutions and manage complex stakeholder programmes across sustainability, data and business improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine consulting, project management and technology delivery skills to help clients and industry programmes improve processes, implement digital solutions and achieve their sustainability and operational objectives.
- Location: Home office based, with occasional travel to client sites or team events
- Working Hours: Full time or flexible part time (minimum 3 days per week), immediate start ideal
- Salary: £45,000–£60,000 (full time salary range)
Salary and package will be dependent on experience. You may have 3 to 5+ years’ experience perhaps in a corporate or consulting environment. We have developed a highly successful home-based working formula so this role may suit professionals returning after a career break. Part time working can also be part of a flexible arrangement for our staff.

The hiring organisation is a UK-based sustainability and CSR consultancy with a global client base across telecoms, technology, retail, manufacturing and related sectors.
For over a decade, the consultancy has delivered projects across carbon reduction, supply chain sustainability, eco-design, life cycle assessment (LCA), working conditions and the circular economy.
Our work combines sustainability impact with commercial pragmatism—we help clients implement solutions that make business sense and deliver positive environmental and social outcomes.
The team includes former consultants from blue-chip firms, Chartered Environmental Managers, qualified accountants, MBAs, experienced project managers and PhD-level sustainability specialists.
The role
You will lead the delivery of consulting projects and industry programmes that combine sustainability objectives, operational improvement and digital solutions.

Working alongside clients, industry stakeholders and senior leaders, you will help design and implement systems, processes and programmes that improve performance, data quality, reporting and operational efficiency.
Central to the role is the ability to understand and design data management and analytics solutions, typically based on Microsoft and other enterprise technology and manage outsourced development projects. Increasingly solutions will be designed to exploit AI within the corporate environment.
In this role, you will:
- Client Project & Programme Leadership
- Manage complex consulting engagements from initiation through to delivery, coordinating stakeholders, development partners and client teams to achieve agreed objectives.
- Digital Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead the design and implementation of technology-enabled solutions including reporting platforms, workflow automation, assessment tools, collaboration platforms and data management systems.
- Sustainability Data & Reporting Transformation
- Help clients improve the way sustainability, operational and programme data is collected, managed, analysed and reported to support decision making and programme delivery.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, steering groups and programme meetings, acting as a trusted adviser and senior point of contact.
- Team Leadership & Business Development
- Support proposal development, mentor junior team members, review deliverables and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy's capabilities.
You will deliver projects such as:
- Sustainability Data Platforms
- Design and implement sustainability data management and reporting platforms that improve data quality, governance and decision-making.
- Industry Collaboration Programmes
- Support multi-stakeholder industry initiatives involving global suppliers, member organisations and sustainability practitioners.
- Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through workflow redesign, automation and digital tools.
- Technology-Enabled Sustainability Programmes
- Develop assessment, reporting and collaboration tools that help organisations manage sustainability risks, performance and improvement activities.
- Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Solutions
- Design and deploy collaboration, workflow and information management solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies including SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate and related platforms.

Candidate requirements
- 3- 5+ years' experience in consulting, programme management, business transformation, sustainability, technology delivery or a related field
- Experience managing projects involving clients, suppliers and multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong workshop facilitation, communication and presentation skills
- Experience delivering digital, data, reporting or process improvement projects
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 platforms and business process automation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to independently manage workstreams while supporting wider programme delivery
- Experience within sustainability, ESG, professional services, telecommunications, technology or industrial sectors would be advantageous
- Experience supporting proposals, tenders or business development activities would be beneficial
