Role Summary
The Digital Systems Engineer will:
- Own and support core business platforms, including Odoo Enterprise and Microsoft 365 Business Premium.
- Provide day-to-day accountability for systems, delivering real-world impact across all internal customers.
- Work closely with the Information Security Engineer in governance and security.
- Support a hybrid of core, on-premises, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
ERP & Business Systems Ownership
- Administer, optimise, and support the ERP platform, ensuring core business processes run smoothly.
- Oversee configuration, data integrity, permission management, and change control within Odoo.
- Collaborate with external implementation partners for technical input where needed.
- Drive upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement in functionality and usability.

Microsoft 365 & Workplace Technology
- Manage Microsoft 365 Business Premium (SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Intune).
- Handle user onboarding/offboarding and enforce access controls.
- Ensure seamless collaboration, document management, and connectivity for remote/hybrid users.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Support endpoints, laptops, printers, networks, NAS devices, and Ubiquiti infrastructure.
- Deliver Tier 2/3 IT support, resolving critical technical issues.
- Coordinate backup, disaster recovery, and system restore tests to maintain uptime.
Automation, Reporting & Improvement
- Automate workflows via Power Automate and related tools.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and data flows.
- Work directly with business users to identify and implement practical improvements.
Governance & Documentation
- Own and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation, and runbooks. -Manage relationships with the managed service provider, including quarterly reviews. -Ensure systems meet ISO9001 (Quality) and ISO27001 (Information Security) compliance standards.
Requirements
Applicants should bring:
- ERP ownership experience (Odoo or similar) for data, configuration, and change control — including external partner collaboration.
- Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration skills, including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, and Intune.
- Hybrid-environment expertise (on-premises + cloud).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for applications, endpoints, and infrastructure.
- Comfort in an SME context, with autonomy, accountability, and fast-paced decision-making.
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- ERP experience (implementation, upgrade, or migrations).
- Automation/scripting knowledge — ideally with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI).
- Respected experience in ISO9001 and ISO27001 environments.
