Digital Technical Business Analyst
Hybrid – Attached to our Solihull, London or Hook office
Full Time, Permanent
Band 4 / Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)
Here at Serco, we’re looking for a Digital Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping, defining, and delivering integrated digital solutions that enable organisations to operate with agility, compliance, and clarity.
Working across business strategy and technology delivery, you will translate complex, multi-platform ecosystems into clear, actionable requirements that drive measurable business outcomes.
You’ll be part of the UK & Europe Digital Services team, reporting to the Head of Business Analysis Practice, and collaborating closely with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery partners.
As part of this you’ll:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to align stakeholders and gather insights
- Operate effectively within a matrix organisation, balancing competing priorities across teams
- Contribute to the Business Analysis capability, supporting standards, tools, and continuous improvement
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams to support iterative delivery
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, and defect management
- Contribute to change management, business readiness, and stakeholder communications
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, cybersecurity, and internal controls

What you’ll need to do the role:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a digital or technology-driven environment
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and iterative development
- Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed organisations with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Experience creating process models and documentation (e.g. Visio)
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
- SC clearance (or willingness to obtain)
