Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Trading Lead to join our Group Ecommerce & Digital function, on a fixed-term contract basis until the end of January 2027. In this role you will help drive Kingfisher’s ecommerce growth and profitability by enabling effective trading strategies, optimising the digital customer journey and using data to unlock performance improvements. You will work across our retail Banners and Group Own Exclusive Brands teams to turn insight into action, supporting both commercial success and great customer experiences. You’ll be curious, collaborative and motivated to improve how things work, sharing ideas and learning with others to drive meaningful results.

This role could be based out of any of our UK offices in Paddington, Southampton or Yeovil, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office. Due to the nature of the role and the teams/Banners it supports, there may be a requirement to travel to any of our offices within the UK/internationally on an adhoc basis.

What's the Job?

  • Use analytics to inform trading decisions, reporting on performance and identifying market trends to shape strategy.
  • Evaluate promotions and digital marketing activity, using insights to support demand-led planning and budgeting.
  • Identify online growth opportunities through product and range performance analysis, including gap analysis and pricing benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with digital teams to optimise the customer journey and improve conversion performance.
  • Lead analysis of competitor activity and market dynamics, translating insights into clear recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align priorities, share best practice and deliver consistent digital strategies.
  • Manage relationships with third-party partners and support the implementation and optimisation of digital tools.

What You'll Bring

  • Practical experience in digital trading and optimisation across key ecommerce drivers such as traffic, conversion and average order value.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to use data to influence performance and decision-making.
  • Proven experience of delivering sales and profit growth within a commercial or retail environment.
  • Experience of working across teams and markets, building effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to present insights and strategies in a simple and impactful way to stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to merge the art and science of retail to find the sweet spot between great customer experience and profitable business growth.
