As our Digital Trading Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how millions of customers shop across Screwfix.com, our app, and in-store digital channels. You'll combine commercial thinking, customer insight, and data-driven decision-making to optimise category performance, drive conversion, and deliver sustainable revenue growth.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative digital team, working alongside subject matter experts across SEO, PPC, CRM, Retail Media, Digital Merchandising, and Trading.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital trading strategies to drive online sales and enhance the overall performance of our e-commerce platforms.
- Manage multiple categories to drive transactions on Screwfix.com, the App, and ISDB, delivering against sales targets across the UK & IE.
- Create annual plans for your category highlighting areas for opportunity and growth, communicate them effectively to all relevant stakeholders, and deliver against these plans.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial and trade planning team to translate the customer plan into an omni-channel trading strategy that drives revenue growth.
- Work closely with the Digital Merchandiser team to plan and execute your category strategy, creating a seamless and compelling customer experience.
- Review and evaluate category performance, making recommendations and taking action that drives conversion rate increase and optimum customer experience.
- Work closely with the digital marketing, campaign, and CRM team to ensure that product selection for digital comms is effective and optimised for maximum performance.
- Identify opportunities for tactical trading and spike events and turn these into action whilst fully measuring the outcome.
- Build strong relationships with Supply Chain, understanding the role that stock and lead time plays in our overall conversion rate. Influence where required to drive the right outcome for our ecommerce channels.
- Translate complex data into actionable recommendations to drive strategic decision-making and enhance the overall performance of Screwfix’s e-commerce platforms.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead and mentor a Digital Trader, providing guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Required skills & experience
- Highly analytical and data-driven
- Proficient in GA4 at an intermediate level
- Highly competent in using Oracle Reporting/Power BI
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work calmly under pressure
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and motivated with the ability to work to targets in a deadline-driven environment
- Self-driven and enjoys driving change
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills at a senior level
- Experience of managing people
