The Role
The RSM Restructuring Advisory (RA) practice is a circa £40m turnover business delivering multiple engagements (Advisory and Insolvency) to clients working in a stressed or distressed financial position. It is a very profitable and growing part of the overall RSM Consulting service line but is seeking additional digital skills to drive AI adoption / usage and digital transformation.
The candidate will be required to lead and deliver internal digital initiatives that improve efficiency, standardise processes and enhance client experience across the Restructuring Advisory practice.
The role will sit within our wider Consulting Digital Team (CDT), which serves as the digital hub of our consulting operations, transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence. This specialised unit applies digital skills across all six of our Consulting solutions: Deal Services, Business Transformation, Risk and Governance, Finance Function Support, Restructuring and Forensic & Investigation Services. You will be able to draw on the deep digital expertise of the wider CDT to support you with your focus on the Restructuring Advisory practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
