Digital Value Stream Manager

SECURITY CLEARANCE Eligibility for gaining UK SC Security Clearance

TRAVEL REQUIRED Occasional travel within the UK and internationally

LOCATION Portsmouth or Stevenage

TYPE Full-time or part-time (Flexible options available: minimum 30h/week or 4 days/week)

You’ll join the Digital Performance and Project Portfolio team within Digital Governance, where we build the future of highly agile, lean-startup development for digital initiatives.

Your Contribution

As our Digital Value Stream Manager, you’ll lead a transformative mission:

  • Orchestrate & Empower: Guide and align multi-project IT initiatives, maximising business value.
  • Drive Transparency: Design intuitive dashboards and KPIs to showcase digital progress.
  • Shape Tomorrow’s Portfolio: Evaluate new project opportunities against our strategic vision.
  • Collaborate Financially: Partner with Finance teams to co-develop value-stream financial models.
  • Champion Agile Evolution: Efficaciously integrate agile and lean-startup methodologies within project teams.
  • Mentor & Guide: Oversee training and support for Project Managers and domain experts in tools, processes, and frameworks.

About You

Your experience and mindset set the standard for success in this role:

  • Minimum 5 years of large-scale IT project leadership (projects valued at €1M+), ideally within Portfolio Management or a Digital PMO context.
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in:
    • Business Management
    • Information Technology
    • Project Management
    • or a related field
  • Deep expertise in IT project management frameworks (PMP certification preferred), with a focus on agile, creative, and lean methodologies.
  • Strong track record in delivering cross-cultural, international IT solutions.
  • Exceptional coordination, communication, and empathetic people skills, with advanced English fluency.
