About the Role:
In response to our continued high-growth trajectory, Sword's Digital Workplace & Cyber Team have a new opening for an experienced and motivated Digital Workplace Engineer to support our strategic managed service clients.
As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you will be working within a fast-growing team of Microsoft Cloud & Cyber Engineers, Consultants and Architects working on strategic managed service engagements supporting our clients in delivering innovative solutions, proactive monitoring and continuous improvements.
- Supporting a range of M365 solutions and workloads
- Ensure Identity driven security with Entra ID, is aligned to defined standards and frameworks
- Maintain and evolve solutions and service levels within key strategic Managed Service customers
- Maintain the platform and ensure services are performing well and are cost efficient
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for continuous improvements to service and the digital platforms
- Develop and update regular monthly service and platform reporting
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with managed services clients, understanding their business needs, and identifying opportunities for further collaboration
- Work closely with others in the team to identify opportunities and leverage existing capabilities to deliver end-to-end solutions to clients
- Stay up to date on the latest M365 and Entra ID technology changes and be an advocate for Digital Workplace and cyber within the business and with clients
- Build strong relationships with clients through quality execution and personable advice and guidance to become a trusted advisor and drive long-term business relationships

Requirements
- Good experience and background of producing high quality documentation and solution artefacts
- Microsoft certifications and accreditations in M365 such as MS-102, SC-300 essential for the role
- Microsoft certifications and accreditations such as MS-721, MS-700, SC-401 and AZ-900 desirable but not essential
- Experience and knowledge of on-premises Active Directory and Entra ID including GPO, MFA, PIM, RBAC, External ID, Conditional Access policies, Passwordless solutions and applying security configuration such as Microsoft Zero Trust Framework
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft, NCSC, NIST, CIS, ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials frameworks and best practice and how they translate to controls, policies and configuration baselines valuable
- Cloud infrastructure and connectivity requirements (e.g. Entra Connect, networking fundamentals and service performance)
- Experience and knowledge of on-premises Exchange, Hybrid and Exchange online
- Experience of migration from on-premises to Cloud hosted solutions across the Microsoft 365 stack
- Experience with Digital Workplace cyber tools such as BeyondTrust, Tenable, Knowbe4 and Island beneficial
- PowerShell, Graph API and automation
- Microsoft Teams
