About the Role
Join One of Ayrshire's Largest Engineering Employers
Prestwick Aerosystems continues Ayrshire's longstanding aircraft manufacturing heritage. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture major wing structures used on Airbus programmes worldwide.
Digital technology is critical to every area of our business. From engineering and manufacturing through to supply chain, finance and corporate functions, our people rely on secure, reliable and high-performing digital services every day.
We're looking for an exceptional Digital Workplace Manager to lead the services, technologies and teams that enable the business to operate effectively.
This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for Digital Workplace, IT Service Management, End User Computing and Application Support services across the organisation.
This is not a traditional service desk management position. You will own the performance, direction and continuous improvement of business-critical digital services, acting as the senior operational leader for workplace technology and user experience.
You will influence strategic decisions, challenge suppliers to deliver excellence and ensure technology remains an enabler of business performance and growth.
If you're motivated by accountability, operational excellence and the opportunity to shape the future digital experience of a complex aerospace manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you.
How You Will Contribute to the Team
- Lead Digital Workplace and Application Support services, ensuring critical business systems and employee technology services remain secure, reliable and high performing across the organisation
- Own the IT Service Management framework, driving excellence across incident, problem, change, knowledge and major incident management while continually improving service performance
- Define the strategy for workplace technologies, end-user computing and collaboration services, improving productivity, resilience and user experience across the business
- Act as the senior authority for service delivery, leading technical teams, managing strategic suppliers and influencing business-wide digital decisions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
