Job Description

Due to a growing demand from our customers, we are looking for a forward thinking, collaborative and self-motivated individual to join our motivated team of technical experts. This is an exciting and meaningful time to join DIO and get the opportunity to work on one of the largest estates in the UK.

The successful candidate will lead a range of compliance focused operational challenges – putting safety first, implementing long-term compliance improvement plans, upskilling local teams, identifying opportunities towards Net Zero, to name a few. Everything you do will be in support of a safe and compliant estate and to support the strategic goals of the military. You will be rewarded with a great sense of achievement by supporting the accomplishment of our team outputs and goals to provide excellent facilities for our Service Personnel across multiple MoD locations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver outputs for the Regional Technical Team and provide specialist B&CE technical advice to Infrastructure Managers and frontline staff across military establishments.
  • Review projects and infrastructure on active construction sites (travel required; H&S training provided).
  • Oversee and progress construction projects with industry partner VIVO, including new builds, refurbishments, and minor works (up to approx. £4M) to support military capability.
  • Ensure timely progress through procurement and delivery, maintaining statutory compliance and value for money.
  • Engage collaboratively with industry and internal SMEs to achieve optimal technical solutions and assure project delivery.
  • Participate in customer engagement forums on estate-related issues and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
  • Maintain professional currency through CPD and industry knowledge.

As there is a need to visit multiple sites some of which are not accessible by public transport, a UK Driving Licence is required. Site visits may require an overnight stay (within the Regional Area of Responsibility (AOR)); however this will be agreed in advance.

Person specification

The Successful Candidate Will Meet The Following Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in compliance management across a large portfolio or/and complex organisation
  • Experience of working in a property management (or similar) organisation
  • Understanding and complying with estate and property related legislative, statutory, regulatory and professional requirements
  • Relevant experience of working in highly collaborative environments and/or matrix managed organisations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
