Colchester Veterinary Referral & ECC Hospital, North Essex, UK. Full-time / Part-time
We are seeking an experienced ECVIM-CA / ECVDI Diplomate (or residency-trained / board-eligible clinician) or RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Diagnostic Imaging to join and help shape the growing imaging service at our new, purpose-built referral hospital in North Essex.

Colchester Veterinary Referral & ECC Hospital is a growing, multidisciplinary team of 27 passionate veterinary professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, respect, and lifelong learning, we are looking for a talented diagnostic imaging clinician to lead and develop our advanced diagnostic imaging service.

- Competitive Salary: £75,000 – £110,000+ per annum (depending on experience, qualifications, and leadership responsibilities). Flexible working options available.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Purpose-built referral hospital with a dedicated imaging suite, on-site CT scanner, advanced ultrasound (including point-of-care and echocardiography), endoscopy, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory.
- Challenging & Diverse Caseload: A rich and varied imaging workload supporting our busy internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, oncology, and ECC services. You will see a high proportion of complex referral cases with excellent case variety and depth.
- Freedom to Lead & Shape: You’ll have genuine autonomy to develop imaging protocols, introduce new techniques, and shape the future direction of the imaging service. You will work directly with the hospital owner (a practising vet) and senior clinical leaders to rapidly and effectively drive innovation and clinical development.

- Collaborative Multidisciplinary Environment: Work closely with other residency trained and advanced practitioners in internal medicine, surgery, ECC, ophthalmology, and cardiology in a true team-based setting focused on optimal patient outcomes.
- Mentoring & Leadership Opportunities: Play a key role in mentoring interns, certificate candidates, and junior vets while helping to build and lead a high-quality imaging service.
- 24/7 In-House Care: No out-of-hours or on-call required. Your patients will be in excellent hands around the clock, with our dedicated and experienced ECC team providing continuous hospitalisation, advanced monitoring, and high-quality overnight care.
