Why work with us:

  • Our People Come First: The strength of our hospital lies in the talent, dedication, and wellbeing of every team member. We actively invest in their professional journey, modern working environment, and efficient systems so they can perform at their best. Regular skill-sharing sessions, shared adventures outside of work.
  • Competitive Salary: £80,000-£125,000+ per annum (DOE, qualifications, and leadership responsibilities). Flexible part-time options available to support your preferred work-life balance.
  • State-of-the-Art Facilities: Purpose-built referral hospital featuring a dedicated, well-equipped Intensive Care Unit, on-site CT scanner, advanced and point-of-care ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, echocardiography, high-flow oxygen, mechanical ventilation, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory.
  • Challenging & Diverse Caseload: Manage a rich mix of complex medical referrals and critical care cases — from acute endocrine, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, and oncological emergencies to chronic disease management and interventional procedures. Expect a high proportion of second-opinion and referral work with excellent case variety and depth.
  • Freedom to Lead & Shape: You decide how your days flow, with dedicated time carved out for deep case analysis and thoughtful diagnostics. Beyond that, you hold genuine authority to design clinical protocols, pioneer new services, explore research-driven improvements, and introduce best-in-class pathways — all without layers of corporate approval slowing you down.
  • Investment in Your Expertise: We recognise that advanced medicine clinicians require the right equipment, diagnostic tools, and ongoing quality CPD to thrive. We are open to discussing additional capital investment and tailored CPD support so you can deliver the highest standard of care and continue to grow your specialist interests.
  • Collaborative Multidisciplinary Environment: Join a stable, skilled clinical team of 50+ Vets and RVN’s with strong interests across surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, ECC, exotics, and more. You will work closely with other certificate holders, advanced practitioners, and residency-trained colleagues in a true team-based setting, focused on optimal patient outcomes.
  • Mentoring & Leadership Opportunities: Share your knowledge by mentoring interns, certificate candidates, and advanced practitioners. There is scope to develop subspecialty interests (e.g., neurology, oncology, cardiology, interventional endoscopy) and lead service development.
  • 24/7 In-House Care: No out-of-hours work or on-call needed as our dedicated night ECC team of advanced practitioners and residency-trained clinicians provide a very high standard of continuous hospitalization and monitoring, so you can focus on daytime complex cases with complete confidence in overnight patient care.
  • Manageable Rota & Work-Life Balance: Our rota is collaboratively designed to be personalized to you, fair, and flexible, accommodating your preferred work-life balance while delivering continuous, high-quality care for our patients.
  • Prime Location: Situated in North Essex with excellent transport links — just 47 minutes by train to London Liverpool Street, and convenient access to Stansted, Southend, and Luton airports.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
