Mission & Goals

We’re seeking a Product Design Director to lead design strategy across Gen’s products, with a key focus on Freemium experiences. This role fills a critical leadership gap, ensuring a cohesive, strategic, and user-centric approach. Key responsibilities include:

  • Short-term: Drive design strategies that optimise customer engagement, loyalty, and product quality.
  • Long-term: Lead a design team contributing to sustainable business growth through innovation, collaboration, and customer-focused strategies.

Key Objectives

  • Lead a design team to deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Develop data-driven, customer-centric designs that are meaningful, accessible, and usable.
  • Oversee interaction design, information architecture, and visual design to align with business strategy.
  • Articulate design goals to stakeholders and product teams.
  • Partner closely with product & engineering peers to build user-loved products.
  • Apply emerging technologies (AI) to streamline workflows, personalise experiences, and enhance decision-making at scale.

Competencies & Requirements

✔ 10+ years of design leadership experience in technology-driven, product-focused companies. ✔ Proven ability to lead a design team of 5+, delivering ambitious, end-to-end customer journeys across platforms. ✔ Strong expertise in defining and executing design vision—from early-stage products (0–1) to evolving mature B2C offerings. ✔ Strategic product thinker with a track record of uncovering opportunities and making business-impact aligned decisions. ✔ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. ✔ Portfolio showcasing high-craft, cohesive, and innovative design work. ✔ Passion for AI integration, with proven outcomes in scaling speed and quality. ✔ Bonus: Experience in cybersecurity or digital safety. ✔ Adapts well to distributed teams and embraces remote collaboration.
