About Us
Hawes & Curtis is a quintessentially British heritage brand with a legacy in luxury shirting, fine tailoring, and stylish casualwear. With a strong reputation for quality and timeless design, we are proud to dress the modern gentleman and woman with impeccable craftsmanship and style.
The Role
We are looking for a talented and commercially minded Direct Response Creative to join our marketing team. This is a hands-on creative role focused on producing digital advertising and email campaigns that engage our audience, communicate our product story clearly, and drive customers to our website.
You will be equally at home writing sharp, persuasive copy and crafting compelling visual concepts. You understand that in direct response, every word and every image must earn its place — and that the ultimate measure of great creative is whether it makes people click, explore, and buy.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Copywriter
- Concept and write copy for digital display advertising, paid social, and email campaigns from brief to final delivery.
- Craft clear, engaging subject lines, headlines, body copy, and calls to action that reflect the Hawes & Curtis brand voice and drive measurable response.
- Translate product USPs into compelling customer-facing messaging — communicating fabric quality, fit, craftsmanship, and value in ways that resonate and convert.
- Develop multiple creative routes for A/B and multivariate testing, using results to inform ongoing optimisation.
- Write for a range of campaign types including new arrivals, seasonal promotions, event-based communications, and loyalty/retention programmes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
