Job Summary
Barings is establishing an enterprise AI platform to enable the safe, scalable, and governed adoption of AI agents and AI-powered solutions across the organisation. We are seeking an AI Platform Manager to own the end-to-end operation, evolution, and governance of this platform as it transitions into adoption and scale.
This role is accountable for platform coherence in a hybrid ecosystem, including multiple AI development and runtime platforms, both Microsoft-native and approved third-party tools. The AI Platform Manager will act as the central collaborator across cloud, data, integration, security, identity, and application platforms, ensuring alignment with the enterprise AI reference architecture, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will combine platform ownership, stakeholder coordination, and pragmatic delivery leadership, allowing teams to leverage AI capabilities without compromising security, cost efficiency, or compliance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
