Director, Applied AI Transformation – Healthcare
We’re looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Healthcare to join our team in a hybrid or remote working mode. This role spans multiple locations and will involve:
About the Role
You will lead enterprise-scale agentic transformation for global healthcare organizations, acting as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives while driving the adoption of applied AI systems that deliver measurable business impact. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with clinical governance, privacy standards, and regulated healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for healthcare clients
- Serve as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives on AI adoption and digital innovation
- Lead presales activities, including opportunity shaping and business case development
- Facilitate workshops to translate healthcare challenges into actionable AI use cases
- Drive enterprise AI adoption by identifying high-value opportunities and leading change management
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and deploy agentic and multi-agent solutions at scale
- Maintain hands-on expertise in:
- Large language models
- Multi-agent orchestration
- Leading AI platforms
- Ensure compliance, scalability, and security for enterprise AI deployments in regulated healthcare environments
- Mentor client and EPAM teams to build AI capabilities and workforce transformation skills
- Monitor AI trends and evangelize best practices, positioning EPAM as a thought leader in applied AI for healthcare

Requirements
- 10+ years in healthcare, with experience in:
- Leading business transformation
- Technology-driven innovation
- Strong knowledge of:
- Healthcare regulations
- Patient privacy
- Interoperability
- Payer-provider models
- Proven experience:
- Advising senior executives on AI adoption
- Driving organizational change
- Applied expertise in:
- AI frameworks (Large language models, multi-agent systems, RAG)
- Leading AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft AI)
- Hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Ability to:
- Build business cases
- Originate AI-led transformation programs through presales activities
- Lead global cross-functional teams in complex, highly regulated environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced degree in:
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Business
- (MBA preferred)
- Ability to travel as required
