Director, Applied AI Transformation – Travel & Hospitality
We're looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Travel & Hospitality to join our team across Europe in a hybrid or remote working mode.
In this role, you will lead applied AI and agentic transformation for global travel and hospitality organizations including airlines, hotels, and travel platforms, acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives and delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions that create measurable business impact in a dynamic and highly service-driven industry.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for travel and hospitality clients
- Provide strategic advisory to C-suite leaders on AI adoption, commercial impact, and digital transformation
- Lead presales efforts, including opportunity shaping, value quantification, and business case creation
- Facilitate workshops to transform complex challenges into actionable AI use cases
- Drive enterprise-wide AI adoption and guide change management to maximize value delivery
- Oversee cross-functional teams delivering AI and agent-driven solutions from concept to production
- Maintain practical expertise in large language models, orchestration frameworks, and multi-agent systems
- Ensure AI solutions comply with security, compliance, and scalability requirements for global hospitality operations
- Build and mentor EPAM and client teams to strengthen AI capabilities
- Monitor innovative trends and promote EPAM’s leadership in applied AI for travel and hospitality

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in travel and hospitality with senior roles in transformation, product, or technology innovation
- Strong understanding of industry economics, including guest experience, loyalty systems, and distribution models
- Proven experience advising senior executives on AI-driven innovation and organizational adoption
- Hands-on applied AI expertise, including large language models, multi-agent systems, and RAG frameworks
- Familiarity with leading AI platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft AI and hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Ability to originate and secure AI transformation programs through presales engagement and strategic planning
- Proven track record in building and managing global, cross-functional teams in complex environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for executive-level engagement
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business; MBA preferred
- Ability to travel as required
