Director Business Consulting Cloud Architecture - 814

Director - Business Consulting – Cloud Architecture

Location: London, UK (with frequent travel to Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland) Experience: 15+ years

The Role

As a core member of the Europe Account and Go-To-Market teams, you will drive success in:

  • Selling cloud solutions
  • Designing, building, optimising, transforming, or migrating cloud architectures
  • Collaborating with sales and account teams to educate customers on the value proposition of cloud services
  • Engaging in deep architectural discussions with technical stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Strategy & Execution

  • Partner with HBU/Practice teams to formulate and execute cloud strategies, ensuring optimal customer outcomes
  • Develop proactive proposals and commercial propositions for top-tier customers, in alignment with account/delivery teams

Customer Relationship & Solutions Design

  • Lead workshops and design exercises with customers to co-create industry-specific, high-impact cloud solutions
  • Create Industry-Focused Points of View (PoVs) on cloud architecture, leveraging Azure Industry Cloud offerings
  • Own RFPs (Request for Proposals) for cloud initiatives with existing and prospective customers
  • Foster deep technology partnerships with senior IT resources at customer accounts to drive adoption and advocacy

Tech Collaboration & Pre-Sales

  • Work closely with Microsoft, AWS, and GCP alliance managers to align on technical strategy and market positioning

Ideal Candidate

Experience & Technical Proficiency

  • 15+ years of professional experience (cloud-focused)
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Cloud (Azure and O365), with a preference for experience with Dynamics 365 (D365)
  • Strong ability to design solutions using Azure-native services
  • Proficiency in ** modern cloud technologies**, including:
    • Native application development
    • Legacy application modernisation
    • Cloud application migration
    • DevSecOps on Azure
    • (Experience with AWS/GCP is a major advantage)

Architecture & Leadership

  • Proven track record as a pre-sales solution architect in Azure Cloud Environments
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Excellent technical articulation and presentation skills, tailored for both technical and business audiences

Customer Engagement & Collaboration

  • 5+ years of direct customer-facing roles, including stakeholder management and solution selling
  • Strong influence through demonstrated results in driving cloud transformations and client success
  • Any certification in Europe languages is a significant plus

A clear, influential communicator with problem-solving expertise and the ability to build trust with diverse technical and business partners is essential for this role.
