Job Description

What will you be doing?

We’re seeking a highly experienced and commercially successful Director, Business Development to join our team in Bristol, which is responsible for leading adviser relationship development across the South West. You will be responsible for building, deepening and converting relationships with Independent Financial Advisers, wealth planners and adviser firms throughout the region.

This is a senior role requiring a proven business developer with strong existing relationships in the South West IFA market and a demonstrable track record of generating significant new assets under management. It will require the ability and credibility to deliver in excess of £100m of new AUM per annum, through a combination of new business development, strategic account management and long-term relationship building.

In addition to driving commercial growth, the role will involve working closely with our offices across the South West, ensuring strong regional connectivity and a consistent client and adviser experience. Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
