The Role
Accountable for all aspects of realisation of our Go To Market strategy for Arcinova, including:
- Managing current commercial customers
- Driving new client acquisition
- Expanding existing customer relationships
- Ensuring delivery of Gross Order Intake (GOI) and growth in our customer base
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Achieving sales targets – Balanced between GOI, profitability, and bankable expansion of the customer base
- Developing a pipeline of opportunities across different stages of the funnel
- Executing the sales process from lead generation to contract close, with close collaboration with:
- Marketing
- Business Development (BD) counterparts
- Scientific consultancy
- Legal teams
- Project management
- Creating cohesive, action-driven account and territory plans, ensuring a clear understanding of:
- Opportunities available for Arcinova
- The optimal timing for discussions
- Meeting the role’s requirement for significant travel for:
- Face-to-face client interaction
- Attendance at conferences and seminars
- Understanding and adapting to the competitive landscape to ensure positioning is:
- Competitive
- Differentiated where possible
- Working closely with site leadership on:
- Forecasts
- Future revenue streams
- Maintaining clear, consistent communication with key stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Overseeing the recruitment of, and mentoring a junior Business Development professional (reported directly to this role)

Qualifications and Experience Required
- Educated to at least first-degree level
- 5+ years of experience in the CDMO sector, with recent, demonstrable success in biotech and pharma sectors
- Ability to translate client requirements into a program of work with advantageous commercial terms
- Current, fluent knowledge of:
- The marketplace
- Clients
- Competitors
- A strong network of decision-makers and influencers across the relevant territory (UK & Nordics)
- A self-starter, motivated, and full of drive with:
- A passion for new business
- A “can-do” attitude
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Work Arrangement
This role requires a home-based setup but includes a high expectation for travel to serve UK & Nordics.
