The Company

EDX Markets is a fast-growing digital asset company operating a marketplace designed to meet the needs of both crypto-native firms and the world’s largest financial institutions. EDX has structured its business to minimize risk for its members while delivering a diverse array of operational and capital efficiencies. EDX launched spot trading in the U.S. in June 2023 and has since expanded its product suite into derivatives, RFQ, and white-label services, extending its geographic reach to APAC and beyond.

EDX is backed by a consortium of major financial firms—including Citadel Securities, Fidelity Digital Assets, Virtu Financial, and Charles Schwab—as well as prominent crypto venture capital firms Sequoia, Pantera, and Paradigm.

The Opportunity

EDX is seeking a driven, commercially minded Director of APAC Sales to drive sales efforts across all EDX products in the region. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the commercial trajectory of an industry-leading marketplace backed by blue-chip financial institutions and leading crypto VCs.

The ideal candidate brings a deep book of relationships across the broker, aggregator, and traditional exchange ecosystem, as well as banks and asset managers — with direct ties to institutional decision-makers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional decision-makers — with a particular focus on brokers, aggregators, banks, asset managers, exchanges, and retail intermediaries across APAC and global markets.
  • Identify, prioritize, and originate customer targets across brokers, aggregators, banks, asset managers, and exchanges, along with adjacent segments including electronic FX platforms and OMS/EMS providers.
  • Drive new sales activity, proactively seeking opportunities to scale the business and expand EDX’s footprint across all product lines.
  • Provide local market intelligence to inform product, technology, and sales/marketing strategy; work cross-functionally to sharpen and grow EDX’s competitive proposition.
  • Represent EDX at industry events, conferences, and in client forums, positioning the company as a premier venue for banks, asset managers, and other institutional and retail-facing intermediaries.

Experience

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in institutional sales, business development, or trading — preferably within a regulated financial environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of originating and closing business with decision-makers at brokers, aggregators, banks, asset managers, exchanges, or retail intermediaries.
  • Sales experience with a brokerage, aggregator, OMS/EMS or multi-asset trading platform, fintech, or crypto trading venue is a strong plus.
  • Proven go-to-market execution: from identifying opportunities through to revenue realization.
  • Self-driven, sets ambitious targets, and consistently meets or exceeds them.
  • Start-up mindset: thrives in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment with a bias for action.
