Overview
EY’s Health Consulting practice is experiencing significant growth and increasing demand for transformation expertise across the UK health and care landscape. We are expanding our senior leadership team with a highly experienced Director who can drive strategic growth, lead complex transformation programmes, and shape EY’s impact across Provider organisations, Integrated Care Systems, regional bodies, and national health clients.
As a senior leader in our Health team, you will work directly with Board-level and Executive stakeholders to understand their priorities and challenges, and design innovative transformation solutions focused on:
- Productivity and operational improvement
- Financial sustainability and cost-out transformation
- Human-centred digital enablement
- System integration and whole-system care redesign
- Strategic transformation across providers and ICSs
You will play a key role in bringing the best of EY to the health sector—mobilising multidisciplinary teams and leveraging our cross-firm capabilities, ecosystem partnerships, and technology-enabled consulting solutions.
This is a leadership role suited to individuals with both big-firm consulting experience and deep exposure to the UK health system, from direct operational roles or consulting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
