WE ARE LANDSEC
We identify and shape places that create opportunity, enhance quality of life, and bring joy to the people connected to them. This is how we’ve created the UK’s leading portfolio of urban places and one of the largest real estate companies in Europe. Our £10 billion portfolio is built around premium workplaces, the country’s pre-eminent retail platform, and a residential pipeline that will redefine urban life. We’ve honed this ability over 80 years. Spotting the opportunities, building the partnerships, and continually adapting to shape the places that meet the needs of a changing world. Places where life happens. Where businesses grow. And where cities are defined.
LOCATION
The role is national in remit managing teams with a focus on revenue generation – therefore mobility across the UK is key
THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the growth of a FTSE 100 business
The role is to develop and implement a portfolio-wide commercial activation strategy to increase revenue by ~100% (doubling performance) over the next two years from ~£5m to over £10m, unlocking value from under-utilised internal and external space including malls, plazas, car parks and circulation areas
The role is responsible for leading the growth of income across areas such as Mid-mall & Brand X across the Landsec portfolio - This is managed through a combination of third party agencies and a direct in-house team
As well as managing the growth of existing revenue areas, the role will also be key in identifying new areas for income such as increasing existing Tenants / Brand Partners activations and reviewing non-utilised space to commercialise
The role supports the entire Landsec Portfolio with a focus on the retail arm where, currently, the largest commercial opportunity exists
The role is key in delivering the growth that will underpin Landsec’s 2030 business plan
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead the strategy and delivery of commercial partnerships, temporary retail, kiosks, activations and experiential revenue across the portfolio - remit of +£10m income
Working closely with Asset Management, Leasing and Operations teams at both HQ and site level, the role will identify, secure and operationalise best-in-class operators and experiences that maximise utilisation of space and materially grow commercial income
Management of the commercialisation team, currently seven persons across the UK, accountable for ‘public realm’ income which includes mid-mall, kiosk and popup activations. This area also includes the management of what is termed “Spotlight” activations which includes ambient advertising and activation of spaces by brands across Landsec places
Management of the 3rd party agencies who support the delivery of activations on behalf of Landsec
Reviewing all areas of potential incremental income and creating plans for delivery
Key Measures of Success:
- Portfolio commercial revenue growth (target: ~100% increase within two years)
- Increased utilisation of internal and external activation space
- Quality and diversity of operator mix
- Consistent delivery standards across locations
- Contribution to visitor engagement, dwell time and destination appeal

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
