Director, Global Tax Product Management

We are seeking a Director, Global Tax Product Management based in London, UK, to join our Client Tax team. This leadership role spans product innovation, regulatory readiness, commercialization, and product governance, aligning with BNY’s strategic pillars:

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Head of Tax within the Enterprise Custody Services platform, you will:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of global tax initiatives, including withholding taxes, Financial Transaction Taxes (FTT), and other securities taxes, to meet strategic and client-focused priorities.
- Design, plan, and execute a prioritized roadmap balancing client experience, compliance mandates, and commercial value.
- Partner with Sales and Coverage teams to secure complex custody tax deals by:
- Leading solutioning for RFPs, client pitches, and due diligence
- Defining scalable operating and technology solutions
- Assessing risk and control impacts
- Aligning pricing, commercials, and handover to delivery
- Drive expansion of global tax product coverage and capabilities through:
- Identifying market opportunities
- Prioritizing enhancements
- Delivering scalable, compliant solutions
- Oversee non-standard client requests by:
- Leading solution design and cross-functional execution
- Performing assessments with corporate, business, and operational partners
- Securing governance/approvals and managing timelines, KPIs, and change management

Requirements
To thrive in this role, you must have:
- 10+ years of experience in global tax consulting or product management, with a focus on international custody and tax matters, such as:
- Withholding taxes (domestic & foreign)
- Tax relief systems
- Capital gains tax
- Financial Transaction Taxes (FTT)
- Ideal candidates will have verified experience at a global custodian, global asset manager, or Big 4 consulting firm.
- Strong ability to:
- Conduct deep analysis and solution design
- Lead cross-functional teams
- Execute with hands-on delivery
- Pitch and RFP experience: Proven success in leading complex client pitches, shaping commercial strategy, presentations, and proposals to drive wins.
- High self-ownership with a focus on delivery, time management, and prioritization to execute against timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Agile methodologies/toolkits (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
