From resolving disputes, navigating crises, managing risk and optimizing performance, our teams respond rapidly to dynamic and complex situations.

At FTI Consulting, you’ll work side-by side with leaders who have shaped history, helping solve the biggest challenges making headlines today. From day one, you’ll be an integral part of a focused team where you can make a real impact. You’ll be surrounded by an open, collaborative culture that embraces diversity, recognition, professional development and, most importantly, you.

Are you ready to make your impact?

About The Role

We are looking for a talented, ambitious, and seasoned data and analytics expert to join our award-winning team in London. Our highly successful and fast-growing Digital & Insights practice helps fuel growth and innovation within FTI’s global strategic communications division, and we are proud to work with some of the largest, best known and most innovative companies across the world. Our client list of FTSE 100 and large corporate brands gives us unrivalled opportunity to design, plan and implement world class corporate and online reputation management strategies.

Role

As a Director you will be part of both the firm’s global Digital & Insights leadership group. You will be a recognised industry leader, skilled in the art of fusing the cutting edge of Data & Analytics and AI advisory with corporate communications consultancy, strategy development and senior client advisory. The role requires a significant level of technical knowledge relating to, for example:

  • AI platforms and solutions across algorithmic and agentic categories (e.g., AI vendor APIs, open-source tooling such as LlamaIndex, HuggingFace, Claude Code or similar)
  • Manipulating datasets in Python, SQL and Excel
  • Deep familiarity with GitHub to collaborate with other developers
  • Conversant and proficient across AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Expertise with data visualisation tools (e.g., Graphext, Tableau) and digital listening tools (e.g. Brandwatch/Talkwalker/Meltwater)

The role has an emphasis on leadership of complex programmes of work across the cutting edge of data and communications consultancy. You will be passionate about exploring and developing innovative strategies and programmes to support our success – whether that be in broadening our offer by creating new products or services from our data and AI platform or finding ways to push the boundaries of corporate affairs consultancy. You will also need to demonstrate a deft approach at translating the more technical aspects of data analytics and AI solutions creation into readily understandable language for non-technical clients and colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
