Director, Full-Stack Engineer – London

About the Role

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Full-Stack Engineer to join our team in London.

In this role, you’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading by example in system design, code quality, and agile development, engineering scalable and performant solutions across the full software lifecycle
  • Leveraging AI to accelerate innovation, innovation, and promote a culture of AI-led development
  • Collaborating in small cross-functional agile teams
    • Skilled product managers
    • Traders
    • Sales teams
    • Technologists
    • All centred around putting the client first
  • Driving continuous improvement within the team. We place a strong emphasis on relentless curiosity and growth mindsets
  • Working closely with Product Managers to devise and deliver innovative FX products
  • Providing mentorship and guidance across the team, supporting professional growth and technical development

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mission-critical software development across financial infrastructure systems
  • Lead teams in developing scalable, high-performance solutions built for the financial markets
  • Specify and implement low-latency trading systems
  • Work with FIX API integration and collaborate with clients to enhance trading workflows
  • Oversee co-located infrastructure assets in market data hubs
  • Participate in mentoring junior team members while self-developing technical skills
  • Encourage research into cutting-edge AI applications, enhancing drawn insights and decision-making

Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive years of experience in development, with a strong track record
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Financial institution experience in building mission-critical systems preferred
  • Familiarity with fast-paced environments and ability to thrive in high-pressure settings
  • Results-driven personality with passion for changing the status quo and driving innovative ideas
  • Ability to adapt to change, lead transitions
  • Front-office trading systems experience
  • Low-latency trading experience
  • Deep understanding of co-location infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with high-performance messaging systems
  • FIX API development experience
