Research Director – (Quantitative leaning, but mixed methods) Healthcare & Life Sciences Research Consulting firm
Location: UK Remote / Hybrid
Join a Growing Specialist Healthcare & Life Sciences Insights Consultancy We’re supporting an ambitious, privately owned, international healthcare and life sciences market research consultancy in the search for an experienced Research Director.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially minded quantitative specialist who enjoys partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to solve complex strategic challenges through high-quality evidence and insight.
Working across global healthcare markets, you’ll lead sophisticated quantitative research programmes while helping shape client strategy, drive business growth, and mentor the next generation of researchers. Whilst the role has a strong quantitative focus, you’ll also have the opportunity to work across integrated and mixed-methodology programmes where qualitative insights complement broader strategic recommendations.
This offers a rare chance to join a growing firm, taking on a visible role, acting as the Lead on complex quantitative healthcare and pharmaceutical market research studies from proposal through to delivery.
Scope: ● Act as the senior strategic advisor and primary client contact across key accounts ● Design and oversee advanced quantitative programmes, including: ● Market segmentation ● Conjoint and trade-off modelling ● Message and positioning research ● Demand and opportunity assessment ● Brand and customer experience studies ● Translate complex data into commercially meaningful recommendations for clients ● Drive high-quality insight generation and storytelling across global research ● Support proposal development, BD activities, and client growth initiatives ● Coach, mentor, and develop researchers across the team ● Champion methodological innovation and continuous improvement ● Collaborate with colleagues across an international and highly supportive business

Ideal Background ● 5-10 years experience within biopharma, healthcare/life sciences market research ● Strong quant research expertise (gained in agency/consultancy environment) Experience leading: ● Segmentation studies ● Conjoint analysis and advanced quantitative methodologies ● Multi-market and international research programmes ● Confidence presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients ● Commercial awareness and understanding of pharma brand/commercial challenges ● Experience developing long-term client partnerships and growing accounts ● Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills ● A naturally curious, analytical, and solutions-focused approach
