The Director of Human Resources EMEAI for AMETEK is an exciting opportunity to manage the development and delivery of programs to improve the operating performance across the European infrastructure and emerging markets. The successful candidate must be a strategic yet action-oriented leader who can partner with the regional leadership team to accelerate strategy implementation. Furthermore, they must be a highly collaborative true business partner who understands HR deeply, sees the intangible qualities in talent, and has the confidence to provide constructive consultation, share opinions, and push back effectively.
The position reports directly to the VP, Chief Human Resources Officer based in the US, acting as a business partner to the DVP, AMETEK Europe and Brazil and Country Manager India and Middle East, and functionally manages Country HR leaders to provide an effective HR function within a shared service environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, Corporate HR, and Division/BU HR leaders. Develop and execute HR strategy and the regional operating plan aligned to business objectives, delivering measurable results across EMEAI. Improve regional effectiveness in organizational structure, work processes, teamwork, and leadership across a highly decentralized organization. Build the regional talent pipeline (recruitment, retention, development, and succession), strengthening HR capability for regional team and businesses. Be responsible for HR operations including processes like compensation and succession planning for regional commercial, administrative, manufacturing, and engineering sites; lead AI-enabled change (adoption, capability-building, and governance) and leverage automation where practical. Lead and execute HR due diligence and integration for M&A activity and human capital projects within the region. Use HR analytics to identify trends and drive operational improvements. Influence and develop the indirect HR team through coaching and delegation to drive strong execution. Monitor the regulatory and collective bargaining landscape; partner with leaders and HR to ensure compliance and prevent business disruption. Travel frequently (50%+) across EMEAI to support leaders, address complex issues, and maintain a pulse on engagement.

Requirements
Business or HR qualification required; Master's degree would be a plus. 10+ years of senior HR experience in industrial markets, including medium-sized engineering and manufacturing experience. Fluent English, spoken and written, with an additional European language preferred. Proven team management and leadership track record with experience leading multiple sites, leading in matrix environments and shared service development. Ideally has worked for a USA multi-national company and has demonstrated ability to navigate and support multiple cultures across the region successfully. Based in Europe and located in an AMETEK facility. Fit with key AMETEK cultural elements, including lean/cost-driven, curious, accountable, detail-orientated, decentralized, conservative, and down to earth. The ability to operate/make decisions with ambiguity.
