YOUR ROLE
We lead the digitisation of global manufacturing and asset-intensive companies across industries like Consumer Goods, Aerospace & Defence, Life Sciences, and Energy Transition & Utilities. Our unique blend of strategy, transformation, engineering, and cloud expertise sets us apart.
As a Director in our Intelligent Industry practice, you will:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales and delivery of projects that enable autonomous operations through digital technologies, AI, and robotics.
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering leaders to:
- Define digitisation strategy
- Calculate business cases
- Design transformation roadmaps
- Lead adoption of new ways of working for long-term impact
- Build and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring sustainable change through close collaboration with clients' operators and technicians.
- Work with colleagues from Capgemini’s Engineering, Data & Cloud Services, and our digital partner, frog, to deliver tailored digital solutions that:
- Improve service levels
- Reduce costs
- Enhance sustainability outcomes
- Contribute to practice growth as part of the Intelligent Industry leadership team.
Strategic Focus Areas
As an Industry 4.0 & Connected Assets leader, you’ll:
- Expand Capgemini Invent’s Industrial Asset Management capabilities in key sectors.
- Upskill a next-generation consulting talent pool through leadership and mentorship.
- Strengthen clients’ operational resilience and competitiveness.
- Drive AI adoption to transform business models, particularly in UK economic sectors.

YOUR PROFILE
We seek a Director-level candidate (or aspiring Director) with:
- 20+ years of innovative experience transforming manufacturing or utilities operations using digital technologies, AI, and connected assets to drive step-change improvement.
- Strategic business acumen—proven ability to create robust business cases and advocate for transformative change.
- Passion for operational excellence, with a focus on employee engagement and empowerment.
- Matrix management expertise: leading cross-team collaboration effectively in a dynamic consulting environment.
- Current experience in a major consultancy or hybrid industry-consulting role, with a solid foundational belief in the value of client-centric problem-solving.
Commercial Target: Generate an annual revenue of £2m+ through proactive business development, leveraging networks, relationships, and organic pipeline growth.
