Your Role

The Director of International Sales Engineering is a highly technical strategic leader who will oversee our entire Sales Engineering organization across EMEA, APAC, and Japan. This role requires a deep understanding of the complex nuances of diverse international markets, including navigating regional dynamics, data residency requirements, product localization needs, and AI adoption variations across geographies.

You will partner closely with our International Sales Leadership to:

  • Drive enterprise opportunities
  • Grow our expanding Channel organization
  • Lead technical presales strategy
  • Cultivate a world-class International SE organization

You will serve as a trusted, strategic advisor internally to Product and Executive teams and externally to our largest enterprise customers.


Responsibilities

Strategic Deal Execution

  • Partner with International Sales Leadership to drive revenue growth
  • Develop account strategy, technical win criteria, and align SE resources for large-scale enterprise deals

Agentic AI Strategy

  • Articulate and shape enterprise AI adoption patterns across regions
  • Navigate the international AI regulatory landscape to develop the Agentic AI International GTM strategy

Executive Engagement

  • Lead technical engagements with CIOs, CTOs, and IT Directors
  • Build trust through expertise and strategic guidance

Market and Regulatory Complexity

  • Serve as the internal expert on international market nuances, including:
    • Regional data residency and compliance laws (e.g., GDPR)
    • Localization requirements
    • Regional cultural and regulatory impacts on AI adoption

Channel Expansion

  • Enable and grow our international Channel organization
  • Equip partners to position UCaaS, CCaaS, and Agentic AI solutions effectively

Product Vision and Market Intelligence

  • Be the voice of the international market
  • Analyze global competitive landscape
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure the roadmap meets international needs

Innovation and Team Growth

  • Foster innovation in international teams through new systems, scalable processes, and adaptive tactics across time zones and cultures

Customer Relationships

  • Build deep relationships with multinational customers
  • Align business challenges to Agentic AI and communications portfolio solutions

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 12 years of customer-facing experience as:
    • Solution Architect
    • Sales Engineer
    • Implementation Engineer
    • Solutions Consultant
    • or similar roles
  • Minimum 8 years of people management experience
  • Proven track record of leading in international markets
  • Hands-on experience with-Agentic AI or conversational AI
  • Ability to work independently while balancing multiple, complex work streams
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong determination, persistence, and initiative
  • Advanced emotional intelligence and ability to inspire and develop direct reports
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Experience engaging from C-Suite to IT Operations
